SERIGRAPHS

silkscreens/serigraphs are prints made using a silkscreen with a desired stencil, photographic image and or hand drawn films. The screen is coated with a light sensitive emulsion and then exposed under uv light, transferring only the image to the coated mesh. The screen is then rinsed off with water, removing only the image areas. Using a squeegee or rubber blade to hand pull ink across the screen, pushing ink through the opened areas of the screen onto the paper. This technique can also be applied on to almost any flat substrate such as, wood, plexiglass, canvas and metal.
